A Sunday Working On An Ironhead

Last weekend us Custom Cousins got together to help Ian change his advance weights and reset his timing. Ultimately we were not successful, but we did get a lot accomplished enabling Spenser to sweep in a few days later and look like the hero ;-)

Ross and Bill stepping outside for a minute.

Ian and Loaf working on putting in a new points plate to go with the new advance weights.

"Is there supposed to be a dead mouse in here?"

"No, it's supposed to have been installed over here. At least that's what the original builder "Indiana Gary" said in the BSH article".

Watching the video to make sure we know what we're doing.

I think Loaf farted, so Ian had to move,

Sweaty Loaf.....

...using his favorite shop rag to dry off.

One of the many goofy parts used by "Indiana Gary". I am so glad that Ian rescued this bike and has pretty much changed everything to make it right.

Test kicking

Ian's new fender. It really follows the lines of the tire like a fender should.

Like I said, we didn't get it fixed all the way, but progress was made and it was a good day of hanging out with good people. The bike IS up and running strong now though so it's all good.

  1. Man, I'm so ready to get on the road to the Bash...I hated to walk away when we did..I'm not the type to leave shit sitting & doing it later, but I know he had to get back to Daddying...man I'm ready to go...Bike looks great Ian! Hope it's running better now!
