Just some more bike pics. I'm going to do a couple of posts on the Sportsters I saw,but I gotta do some more thinking about how to make it look right to me. Keep checking back to see them.

More People Pics From The Show
Just some random shots I took during the day.
Right to left: Pat from LedSled, Roadside Marty and Boston Mike looking at me like "WTF are you doing with that camera, picture boy?" I was holding the camera down low and using the flip out screen so they wouldn't start posing. I was trying to get just a random shot and Mike caught me.
Not sure who that is in the black shirt in the foreground, hidden behind him though is Whitey, then Timebomb from the BDAC in Atlanta, Nick and the back of Mosely's head.
I took this of myself getting my trophy for "Best British". How else is the photographer going to get some love.....
....I'll tell ya how, give the damn camera to Larry so he can take a decent pic. At least now some of y'all will know who I am. I LOVE my Evel Knievel shirt ;-)
Ashley, and her family did a great job working the booth selling shirts and other important swag including Hairbraine's pin up book! I checked it out and it's pretty damn good. Be sure and buy a copy. I know Low Brow will be selling it soon if they are not already.

More Pics From The Ride!
Just some more pics from the ride into town.
Whitey and what USED to be a Triumph Bonneville America. Now it's just a bad ass bike.
Pickett and his Nightster
Sweet Shovel ready to leave the parking lot.
Bad Ass little Sporty, the helmet says Speed Demon and the bike looked fast for sure!
Sweet little bike rolling on its merry way!

The Party At Mathew's Bar
The party at Mathew's after the bike show was a blast! I didn't catch the name of the first band, but Stone Cobra was the 2nd and both bands were pretty damn good. If you made it out to the bike show you got a wrist band that was good for free PBR from the couple of kegs that Larry bought. After they ran out you were on your own, but from what I saw no one went too thirsty. Enjoy the pics and relive the fun, or if you were not able to make it out then just sit back and wallow in your jealousy.
Raising hell and having fun. The folks I recognize are Pat from Led Sled, the back of Spenser's head, Nick and Ashley.
Showing some compassion for this young lady. I remember her saying something about her being the designated driver. I don't think she was able to fulfill that role ;-)
Lots of folks brought their beers out and hung out in the parking lot. Of course it's against the law, but most of the cops were busy dealing with real problems and left us alone.
Moshin'!
The bar area of Mathew's.
Getting ready to tear shit up!

Running Wild Through Birmingham!!!
After the bike show at GarCo we lined a lot of folks up and rode out together for the Dice Party at Mathew's downtown. I haven't ridden in a pack this big since my old MC days back in Germany. What a Rush! The pack stayed fairly organized and I was able to run up and down the sides to get some decent pics. Here's a few to let you know how much fun we had.
Waylon representing the BDAC and the "What I see" blog!
Brunson on that new chopper. Diggin' the new bars man!
Chauncy looking for someone. When I first saw this I though of Danny Lyon's photo "Crossing the Ohio".
Hairbraine rolled all the way from Atlanta for this. Looks like he's enjoying himself.
Larry and Ashley with Warren photobombing in the background.
Looking back at the Pack. I LOVE this shot. It was totally luck that got me this one.
Timebomb hamming it up!

Cool Bikes From the Show
Most of the posts I 'll make for a little while will be different pics tossed together like this. Enjoy the view.
Winner of the "Best Knucklehead" Class
Wild looking BMW
While we were setting things up.
Sweet Twin Cam Softail. Nice clean and very rideable.

Warren from Jr's Cycle Products won "Best of Show". This bike deserved it. I start to drool a little every time I see it! One of Warren's killer spool hubs was part of my prize box for winning "Best British". Can't wait to use it somewhere.

Close up of Warren's tank. Gotta love a bike with a Frank Frazetta painting on it.

Dixie's Shovelhead Trike
You saw the pic of Dixie and her chauffeur, now you can see her chariot. It's a 69' Shovel motor in a nice trike frame and some pretty damn nice details thrown in for good measure. I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off so I'm sorry I didn't get more details. If you know any more about this one post the info in the comments.
Peace Baby!
Love those classic lines. Looks straight out of "Angels from Hell"
Wide enough rear tires to look mean, but not wide enough to get cheesy.
Nice box on the back for some lunch a few beers and some scooby snacks for Dixie.
Backing into place. It was strange to see a bike backing into a parking spot like that.

Indiana To Alabama For A Beer!
Nick and Dustin rode all the way down from Indiana for this party. That kinda kills any excuses you were going to give me for not making it out Saturday. Larry and I rolled up Sat. morning to start getting things set up and there were 2 bikes out front we didn't know. We knew Michael Lewis and some other folks were crashed in the shop so we didn't think much. The guys int he shop get up and want to run to the store so Larry tells them to take the van. No big deal so far right? They come out of the store and there is a homeless person staggering around the back of the van. Turns out Nick and Dustin had crashed in the van Friday night and no one knew it. Nick said he felt the van start to move and got a little worried. Once he heard English and bike talk he knew it was OK. Dustin slept through it all.
Almost 600 miles for a party. Gotta love that.
Dustin trying to wake up while Nick checks his valve train trying to find out why it's burning some oil.
Dustin's bike. I was going to get his pic with it, but he took too damn long to get up and moving.
Nick checking over his baby.
"Why the hell are you burning oil dammit!"

The Dixie Roundup Was A Blast!!!
The FIRST ever Dixie Roundup is history now and it will be remembered for a LONG time to come. I took almost 400 pictures yesterday so it'll take some time to get the good ones edited and posted. I figured in the meantime I would throw up a post of some of what happened.
I took a bunch of pics of the ride from the show to the Dice party at Mathew's downtown. This one was an accident, but I liked it. One of only a couple of pics that I actually got to be in. The joys of being the photographer.
As you can see there was a packed house. This isn't the whole lot, just all that would fit in the shot.
Dixie, the trike riding poodle and the Belle of the Ball. I didn't catch the guys name, but it seems that Dixie LOVES to ride and pretty much goes with him everywhere. She is a sweetheart of a dog and everyone loved her. Gotta love the doggles she has on.
Even the Drew Carey Fan Club made it to the show!
And the award for the best "In the Spirit of the 70's" goes to Duane and the Weed Steed. If I made this shot black & white it could almost be one of those old Life magazine shots.
Larry hanging with the legendary (in his own mind) Roadside Marty.
The Brain Trust that brought us all together. Larry, Spenser and Nick talking about strippers or beards I think.

Thanks Waylon!!!
I don't know if you've noticed the link on the right side to order shirts to help support my bike habit, but I'm glad someone did. And who better than Waylon,. the man I gave the shirt off my back to at the GarCo Christmas party. The BDAC crew showed up at the Dixie Roundup yesterday and Waylon immediately drags me over to his bike to show me a surprise. He then proceeds to whip out this shirt and put it on. I knew someone had bought a shirt, but I didn't know Waylon's "legal" name so I didn't have a clue. Thanks Brother for showing me the love. It was great to see you guys yesterday and I can't wait until we get to hang out again!
