The Bastard Bash is a party for the members of the Quad Cam Bastards forum (and friends) which is made up of folks who love custom/chopped Sportsters. To become a member of the forum you have to submit a picture of your bike and if approved you're in. You will not find a more innovative group of bike builders anywhere. Some of the work displayed on that board is beyond amazing. To get a good idea of this check out some of the bikes that made the party this year.
Some of these bikes have been in magazines and some should be.. If you love cool Sporties check out the QCB blog and if you own a cool Sporty apply to be a member of the forum. You won't regret it.
By the way, it's my Birthday today and what better B'day present than a ton of beautiful choppers to look at ;-)

Some Pics Loaf Took Of The Stator Adventure...
I thought I'd share these photos that Loaf took of my unfortunate circumstances. Not much to say except what's posted in the captions and that I appreciate Loaf taking these pics when I was too preoccupied to think of taking any shots.
OK, that's enough. It's still painful to me to see anything on the inside on my baby. I guess after 30,000 trouble free miles she deserved a little attention. Stay tuned for more pics of running bikes :-)
On the side of the road in front of some farm house in the middle of no where.
I told you Ed was with us, here's proof.
I told you we were out in the country when it died.
The cows serenaded us while we waited for Micheal to rescue me.
Next morning at Garco, Spenser helped settle me down and make sure I wasn't rushing through and missing something that would bite me later.
"So this one spins the wrong way huh?"
"Righty tighty, lefty loosey."
"Is this SUPPOSED to look like this?"

Thanks For The Support!
Some folks have bought shirts and seem to be happy with them. That makes me smile knowing that you guys appreciate what I'm doing here. If you want a shirt of your own just click on the link at the side and place an order. Once you get it take some cool pictures of you wearing it and I'll post em on the blog. Thanks again and keep on riding!
My friend in Japan Daisuke Soejima bought one of each shirt and has been proudly wearing them as he blasts around on his sweet Shovelhead. This is one of the pics he sent me and I love this shot. What a great pic!
The day he got his shirts he sends me this pic. The shirts look better in his pic then in any that I ever took.

The Ride Home From The Bash
Sunday was the day to ride home. We loaded up the bikes said our goodbyes while trying to look forward to next year. Every year it's a little harder to leave because every year you get a little bit closer to these great folks. I wish we could all live together in a commune up on a mountain in the Appalachians.
So, Loaf Andy and I get on the road and start to make our way home. The ride back is WAY better than the ride up. We blast down the nice highways and curvy roads until we get near Chattanooga.. We had to get on I-70 there to get around Chattanooga. We all stopped to get some food near where I-24 and I-59 split. We had some adventures before that, but I'm tired of thinking about the not fun stuff that happened. It wasn't that bad and ended up being inconveniences. After we ate, Andy blasted on down I-24 to get home to Huntsville while Loaf and I hit I-59 for Birmingham. The ride was boring, but we were tired and wanted to make time. Once we got to B'ham I headed to the house and Loaf hit I-65 for Montgomery. All in all it was a great weekend and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I had a chance to really get to know Loaf and found that he's a great person that I am proud to call Friend. If you get a chance to take a road trip you should go for it. Even if you have break downs and problems along the way it usually works out and ends up being some of the most interesting stories of the trip. Now Go Ride Your Damn Bikes! Bikes and Brotherhood is what it's all about anyway.
My bike loaded down including my new Biltwell helmet I won.
Loaf Packed and ready to go too.You can see Andy back there loading up too.
The last breakfast with friends
Loaf and Preacher. You DO see what shirt Preacher is wearing don't you?
Loaf riding that chopper through the hills!
Near the Ocoee rafting area.

Andy on one of the few cool Twin Cam softails out there!
I waved Andy and Loaf around me so I could take some pics and damned if they didn't haul ass on up the road. I had to run 80 to catch up the damn speed demons!
Andy Again
Last pic I took of the trip. I think it's appropriate that it was of Loaf. He was there with me from the great first Breakfast, through the overnight stator ordeal, up to the Dragon and back home again. I can't wait to ride with you again Brother!

Saturday Night Was A Great Time!
Not much to say on this one except Saturday night was a little more laid back but still a great time. We were all worn out and at the same time making the plans for next years party. If you like smaller get togethers with great groups of people this is the ride for you. Next year I'll be on my Sporty chop. Enjoy the pics, there will be more soon.
I still have more pics so keep on checking back!
Just hanging out at the resort.
Room 1 always seems to be the central hangout.
I think they were laughing about my shoes or something. (Justin, Rich and LTB)
I just like this picture. I was taking random shots and got lucky as hell. I call it "A Man and his Sportster".
Fusc and Boom boom
Getting ready for the 50cc bike races.
Drinking beer at the firepit.
The bikes in action!
Watching the little bikes whizz by.
Hollie and Pyro love each other (even if their significant others were laughing at them)
Preacher, Andy and Pilot hanging out.
Butters says I'm number 1 in his book.
Preparing for the sacrificial burning of the Harley crap. We couldn't top last years reading from the Dark Custom book, so instead we burned my old work shirt from my HD days. We also had an owner's manual from a 96 Ultra's sound system that was donated as a raffle prize by a dealer in Ohio.
The sacrifice burns!
Preacher and LTB (on a borrowed bike since his headlight got torn off by a pothole) going on the annual midnight run down the Dragon. .
I still have more pics so keep on checking back!
