Fun Weekend Camping With My Custom Cousins

Saturday we headed out for the Alabama Confederation of Clubs meeting in Dothan. We had a great ride down and attended the meeting where we got voted in as members (Woo Hoo). To celebrate we headed over to Blue Springs State Park to camp and have some fun. There were a LOT of signs saying "No Alcohol Allowed", but the Park Ranger was a Biker and looked the other way. He even made sure we had a site as far away from everyone else as possible. We commenced to celebrate and have a good time until it was time to sack out. Of course one of us got a little deeper in his cups than was wise, but that seems to be a normal thing for our crew and he paid for it the next morning ;-) After getting up and breaking camp we headed home looking for a good place to eat breakfast. we ended up settling for Hardees since we didn't see anything else. Saturday's weather was great, but Sunday was chilly and windy, it was still a good day to ride though. This was also the shakedown cruise for Ian's new Shovelhead and other than a few issues that will be addressed soon it went very well. The motor started 2nd kick every time (except for the cold start on Sunday). All in all it was a good weekend and a great warm up for Barber's next weekend. I hope to see y'all there!

Getting ready to pull out. You can see I'm loaded down as usual, but I needed a backrest anyway.

Ross and his rare Honda.

Billy and Whitey both had broken bikes so they caged it and carried the "party supplies".

The next morning.

Another view of the campsite.

About time to load up.

Saw this sweet ride somewhere along Hwy 31.

I LOVE this picture of Ross!

Quick roadside stop for the cagers to driver swap.

Ross was loaded down as well, but his rack handles it with ease.

Ian Cruising.

Damn traffic!

Trying to get through Montgomery.

Passed this motel, I LOVE these old signs!

I'll be glad when I can get caught up and make posts a little more regularly. Every time I think I'm there more stuff gets piled on ;-)
